                          Transactions in MBFG shares


Burani Designer Holding N.V. ("BDH" or the "Company") announces that it has
purchased 274,148 ordinary shares in Mariella Burani Fashion Group (MBFG)
between 14 and 18 January 2008 at an average price of Euro 16.0226 per share for a
total consideration of Euro 4,392,559. As a result of this transaction, BDH
currently holds 17,968,501 ordinary shares of MBFG, representing 60.08 % of the
total outstanding shares of MBFG.
