                           Transaction in BDH shares


Burani Designer Holding N.V. ("BDH" or the "Company") announces that on 17
December it has purchased  6,507 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of Euro
6.2 per share for a total consideration of Euro 40,181. As a result of this
transaction, the Company currently holds 254,238 ordinary shares in treasury.
The Company has ordinary shares in issue of 75,349,578 (excluding shares held in
treasury).
