           ATLANTIC INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE CHANGES
                   TO ITS SERVICE LINE UP

Atlantic Telecommunications Ltd. ("Atlantic"), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Atlantic Telecom Group PLC, is introducing  two
new innovative features to its service line up.

Effective immediately, Atlantic is introducing AdvanceData, a
service  available  to customers directly  connected  to  its
networks,  that gives customers two voice lines and  a  high-
speed  data  line  offering data speeds up to  64kbts,  in  a
bundled  package. Aimed at heavy users of the  Internet,  the
service  starts  at  #48.42  per month,  excluding  VAT,  for
residential customers. This gives customers 1,500 minutes  of
local call time (including calls to anywhere in Scotland  and
calls  to local Internet access numbers) along with the  line
rental  for all the lines. There is no connection charge  for
the   service.  A  similar  service  is  also  available  for
businesses.  The service will initially be available  on  the
existing Glasgow area network, and will be introduced to  the
Aberdeen network by the end of the calendar year.

Effective  1  December  1998 Atlantic is  introducing  a  new
tariff,  offering the whole of the United Kingdom as a  local
call  for  business  customers  directly  connected  to   its
networks.  This  tariff is launched in conjunction  with  the
introduction of tiered management fees for multiple  business
lines,  rather  than  a  rental  per  line.  This  innovative
arrangement gives business customers the flexibility  to  add
or  remove  lines within the band of lines without  incurring
extra  charges. The first band is for businesses with between
12  and  20 lines and is primarily aimed at the medium  sized
business  customer. Businesses with less than  12  lines  can
benefit  from  the  UK local call charges  as  long  as  they
subscribe to the management fee applicable to the lowest band
rate.
