          Atlantic Telecom announces Launch Date for
        Fixed Radio Access Network in City of Aberdeen


Atlantic Telecommunications Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary
of  Atlantic Telecom Group PLC, is to launch it's fixed  radio
access  ("FRA")  telecommunications service  in  the  City  of
Aberdeen on 30th September 1998.

At  the same time, Atlantic Telecom's sister company, Atlantic
Cable will be announcing a new programming line up to coincide
with  the  launch, including a package aimed at customers  who
take both the Cable Television and Telecommunications service.

Commenting,  Graham  J  Duncan, Executive  Chairman,  Atlantic
Telecom Group PLC said:

"We  believe that the provision of these competitively priced,
high  quality,  added-value services will prove attractive  to
residential  and  small business customers  as  they  have  in
Glasgow.  Atlantic Telecom is pleased to be launching  service
on a highly specified FRA network in what is our "home" city."
