Siemens AG has received an order worth more than 330 million euros ($392.9 million) to provide gas turbine technology and long-term services to a power plant in Canada, it said Monday.

The German engineering conglomerate said its energy business will provide two SGT6-8000H gas turbines, other equipment and long-term services to the planned Cascade Power Plant, in the Canadian province of Alberta.

The order comes from Kineticor, a company that develops and manages clean-power projects across Canada. The plant, which is expected to start operation in 2023, is part of the plan to decarbonize Alberta's power supply.
