Hop-on, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HPNN) and USAcig, Inc. support the Food and Drug Administration in the issued warning letters to the following five electronic cigarette manufacturers: E-CigaretteDirect LLC, Ruyan America Inc., Gamucci America (Smokey Bayou Inc.), E-Cig Technology Inc. and Johnson's Creek Enterprises LLC.

The FDA letters of warning stated that the companies are in violation of federal laws by making unsubstantiated claims about the product, incompliant marketing standards to quit smoking and for poor manufacturing practices.

Peter Michaels, CEO of USAcig, Inc., said, "Being in regulation of the FDA is one of our top priorities. As a company, we understand the importance of compliance in marketing standards, quality control and claims of our products. In order to maintain good standing with the FDA, we have recently redesigned our packaging, clearly stating that our product is not a smoking cessation and also removed all flavors except tobacco and menthol from future sales and distribution."

Also today, FDA submitted a letter to the Electronic Cigarette Association, stating the agency's intention to regulation electronic cigarettes and related products in a manner consistent with its mission of protecting the public health. The letter outlines the regulatory pathway for marketing drug products in compliance with the FDCA.

The determination of how the devices will be classified is still not defined with the Food and Drug Administration.
