ActionView International, Inc. Announces Preliminary Agreement to Broadcast Professional Soccer
April 20 2011 - 9:30AM
ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVEW) today announced
that it has reached a preliminary agreement to commence live
broadcasting of home games for the professional soccer team, San
Diego Boca FC, one of the National Premier Soccer League teams. The
first live broadcast will take place in May and will be available
exclusively at www.actionviewTV.com.
Joe Wooten, Chief Executive Officer of ActionView, discussed the
agreement and the future of ActionView, "With our commitment to our
MMA brand, WCFC, remaining a top priority for ActionView, our
business model has always incorporated the expansion into
additional areas of sports entertainment. Being able to broadcast
live, in television quality, over the Internet gives us a
tremendous tool to bring a huge variety of programming to a
worldwide audience. Professional soccer has a huge worldwide fan
base but is consistently underrepresented in television
programming, making it the perfect next product to leverage our
Internet technology. San Diego Boca FC is a great organization with
committed, experienced management that shares our vision of using
the power of the Internet to reach its audience. Together we expect
to generate significant cross-viral marketing between the soccer
and MMA internet audiences. Under the ActionView TV brand, we will
continue pioneering broadcast entertainment as we seek to further
exploit the worldwide reach of the Internet."
Travis Chesney, General Manager of San Diego Boca FC, added, "We
are excited to partner with ActionView to commence broadcasting our
games. Soccer enjoys a unique position in the pantheon of American
sports -- there are millions of avid fans, millions of kids and
adults that play the sport, yet television coverage is virtually
non-existent. Using the Internet to broadcast our product gives us
a way to reach our fan base in an innovative, interactive, and
inexpensive manner. We look forward to working with ActionView to
expand the amount of soccer coverage offered, with a goal of
broadcasting not only all Boca FC games, but also every NPSL game
plus international games from the top teams in the world."
San Diego Boca FC is a member of the National Premier Soccer
League, which is beginning its ninth year of operations. It has
expanded each year and currently sits at 34 teams spread across the
country into five divisions. MLS clubs Chicago Fire and New York
Red Bulls have each established reserve teams that are members of
the NPSL. For further information about the NPSL, visit
