in the event that the postal strike and lock-out prevents Mart's shareholders
from receiving the meeting materials, including the Notice of Meeting,
Management Information Circular and Form of Proxy, relating to Mart's annual and
special meeting being held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. (Calgary
time) at the Calgary Marriot Downtown Hotel, 110 9th Avenue S.E., Calgary,
Alberta, through the normal course of delivery, these documents will be posted
on Mart's website (www.martresources.com) and available on SEDAR at
www.sedar.com under Mart's profile. All shareholders wishing to vote can
retrieve these documents themselves or contact David Halpin at (403) 270-1841,
extension 1 or David.Halpin@martresources.com to get copies.


All registered shareholders must submit their proxies to Computershare via fax
at 1-866-249-7775 (toll-free in North America) or 1-416-263-9542 (International)
by close of business (Toronto time) on Monday, June 27, 2011. Please note that
proxies will not be personalized and all shareholders will need to ensure that
their names and addresses are added before submission and that all proxies are
duly signed and dated. In addition, registered shareholders may contact
Computershare's National Customer Contact Centre at 1-800-564-6253 to obtain a
control number to vote online or by telephone.


Beneficial shareholders may contact their brokerage firms directly in order to
determine the procedure for voting online or by telephone. In addition,
beneficial shareholders may contact Computershare's National Customer Contact
Centre at 1-800-564-6253 to determine if they are able to obtain a control
number to vote online or by telephone. The majority of beneficial holders should
be eligible to obtain a control number from Computershare. Please note that in
order for voting instructions from such beneficial holders to be received and
voted at the annual and special meeting, they must be received well in advance
of the meeting.
