VMware Inc. (VMW) said Thursday it plans to acquire Avi Networks, a provider of multi-cloud application delivery services.

VMware said the acquisition will further enable it to bring the public cloud experience to the entire data center.

VMware said it expects to close the transaction in Q2 FY2020, adding the acquisition isn't expected to have material impact on fiscal 2020 operating results.

Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
