MILAN--Italy's Telecom Italia (TIT.MI) said Tuesday that its profit fell in 2015 as revenue continued to slip.

Earning before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, fell almost 18% at 7 billion euros ($7.92 billion). Telecom Italia said that the strong fall is due to non-recurring charges for nearly EUR1.1 billion and that its preliminary revenue for 2015 fell 4.6% from the year before.

The company, whose revenue have been falling for years, said it noted a stronger recovery, particularly in the mobile sector of its domestic market, compared with previous quarters. Yet, domestic revenue fell 2.3% in 2015. Total revenue stood at EUR19.7 billion.
