NEW YORK, July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Taiwan
Fund, Inc. (TWN) (the "Fund") announced today that, following a
review of the qualifications of Directors on its Board of Directors
(the "Board"), the Board had designated one of its Directors,
Anthony K. Y. Lo, as an Audit
Committee Financial Expert ("ACFE"). With Mr. Lo's designation as
an ACFE, Michael Holland, who had
previously been designated as an ACFE, tendered his resignation as
a Director effective July 18, 2017
and, with regret, the Board accepted the resignation.
The Fund is a diversified closed-end investment company, which
seeks long term capital appreciation primarily through investments
in equity securities listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Shares of
