Regions Bank has received the 2019 Gallup Great Workplace Award,
Gallup’s highest honor, created to celebrate those companies that
achieve exceptional performance by fostering a culture of
engagement. This is the fifth consecutive year Regions has earned
this award.
Employee engagement drives business improvement, including lower
turnover, higher customer metrics and higher profitability,
according to Gallup research. Gallup says its Great Workplace Award
winners have engagement among 70% of their employees, while the
overall worldwide average for other organizations shows only 15% of
employees are engaged.
“At Regions, we have an intentional focus on engagement and how
it contributes to our success and helps fuel growth,” said Dave
Keenan, head of Human Resources for Regions. “Being named a Gallup
Great Workplace Award recipient for a fifth year in a row truly
affirms our efforts to create a culture of engagement among all our
associates.”
Gallup clients that meet specific data criteria are invited to
apply for the Great Workplace Award. A panel of workplace
consultants and experts evaluate applicants to select the winners.
Regions is one of 40 companies around the world selected to receive
the award for 2019. Gallup says the winning organizations “are
different because they look for what people really want from their
careers and their lives – belonging, learning and growth,
recognition, a great manager and the opportunity to do what they do
best every day – and then they find a way to give their employees
just that.”
Regions’ Great Workplace Award will be celebrated at an awards
dinner as part of Gallup's 2019 event, Disrupting the Workplace,
which will take place June 3-5, 2019, in Omaha, Nebraska.
