The European Commission has again extended its review of Halliburton Co.'s (HAL) purchase of Baker Hughes Inc. (BHI), claiming the companies haven't provided necessary information yet, Bloomberg News reported Monday.

A Halliburton spokeswoman told Bloomberg the company plans to provide additional information "expeditiously."

The cash-and-stock deal was worth about $34.6 billion when it was announced in November.
