The high-end E-6100 desktop PC's base price has dropped to $899 -- a savings of $100. Base prices on the midrange E-4100 desktop and entry-level E-2100 model each have been reduced by $50 -- to $799 and $649, respectively. In addition, Gateway has reduced the cost of popular desktop upgrades, such as hard drive, memory and optical drive options.
