Aker Solutions Confirms $815.1 Million Chevron Deal Offshore Australia

Aker Solutions ASA on Tuesday confirmed the award of a
previously flagged deal with Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. that will
see it provide subsea-gas-compression technology at the Jansz-Io
Compression Project offshore Western Australia.
As previously announced, the deal is worth about 7 billion
Norwegian kroner ($815.1 million) and has been booked as order
intake in the second quarter of 2021.
The Jansz-Io field is a part of the Chevron-operated Gorgon
Project, a natural gas development. The Gorgon Project is a joint
venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron Corp.,
ExxonMobil Corp., Royal Dutch Shell PLC, Osaka Gas Co., Tokyo Gas
Co. and Jera.
