Wisk Aero and Archer Aviation reached a settlement with Boeing
to resolve litigation in federal and state courts while
simultaneously agreeing to work together going forward on
autonomous flight technology.
Terms of settlement weren't disclosed, according to a
statement.
The parties plan to work together on helping to grow the
advanced air mobility industry. For future variants of its
aircraft, Archer has agreed to make Wisk its exclusive provider of
autonomy technology.
Boeing is also investing an undisclosed amount in Archer to
support the integration Wisk's technology in its future
aircraft.
Wisk brought a lawsuit against Archer in April 2021 in the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of California alleging
misappropriation of trade secrets and patent infringement. About a
year later, Archer brought a suit against Boeing in the Superior
Court of California, County of Santa Clara, asserting counterclaims
for defamation, tortious interference and unfair competition.
