Aetna Invites Families to “Play” at the New Haven Open at Yale

It is tennis time in Connecticut and Aetna (NYSE: AET) urges
families to join in the fun, the energy and the excitement of
professional women’s tennis at the New Haven Open at Yale presented
by First Niagara, running August 18-27 at the Connecticut Tennis
Center at Yale. The tournament, which will once again showcase the
best women’s players in the world including three-time defending
champion and World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, has been reenergized
this year with new sponsors and activities. Aetna is supporting
this key community event with a major three-year commitment to
serve as one of the tournament’s five Cornerstone Partners.

Aetna Kids Day presented by ESPN will be held on Sunday, August
21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It promises to be a fun-filled day
of music, court games, giveaways, a free tennis clinic for
children, autograph sessions and appearances by the WTA stars.
Tickets start at just $8, which includes entrance to the day’s
tennis matches, and the first 1,000 children will receive a cool
sling bag from Aetna filled with neat gifts from tournament

Throughout the tournament, the Aetna FitZone will feature health
and fitness activities for children and adults. Fans can enjoy a
new daily Aetna Fitness Clinic from 1:00-4:00 p.m., which offers
tennis instruction, cardio tennis and Zumba. The Aetna FitZone also
will feature week-long 10 and under tennis activities, a Fast Serve
contest, games, face painting, a bungee run, an activity center and
prizes. Aetna’s own Fitness Center and Wellness Center staff will
lead some of the FitZone activities and over 60 employees and their
families will volunteer in the FitZone during the tournament.
Additionally, Aetna is supporting the tournament by funding a
unique advertising campaign to raise awareness and encourage
spectators to come join in the fun, while highlighting family
health, and community engagement. Advertisements are appearing now
on buses, Metro North trains, billboards and other signs
