Stinson will oversee all commercial responsibilities; including segment strategy and direction in North America. Stinson will report to Jim Taylor, Thomas Group president and CEO, and office from the Dallas headquarters. Stinson joins Thomas Group from Xelus, a leading supplier of enterprise service management software for aviation and general manufacturing, where he served as CEO and president. From 1997 to 2001, Stinson served as CEO of Bell Helicopter, a $2.5B Unit of Textron, Inc. Stinson previously served as group vice president and segment president of Textron Aerospace Systems. Prior to that, Stinson served as president of the $7B Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies Corporation. Stinson's extensive experience includes positions with Fairchild Semiconductor International, Harris Semiconductor and Texas Instruments. Stinson is listed in Who's Who in American Business Leaders and the International Who's Who of Professionals. He is the recipient of the U.S. Reserve and National Guard Bureau's Pro Patria Award. Among many other honors, Stinson is a member of the Conquistadors del Cielo. He serves on the Board of Directors of Lennox International, Inc., Enigma, Inc. and The Triumph Group. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Stinson graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Management. He serves on the Executive Board of Advisors for his alma mater.
