Saia Provides Second Quarter LTL Operating Data

Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA), a leading transportation provider
offering multi-regional less-than-truckload (LTL), non-asset
truckload, expedited and logistics services, is providing LTL
shipment and tonnage data for the first two months of the second
quarter. In April 2019, LTL shipments per workday increased
1.3% and LTL tonnage per workday declined 4.7% compared to April
2018. Adjusted for the shift in the Good Friday timing this
year, LTL shipments per workday increased 3.2% and LTL tonnage per
workday decreased 2.7% in April 2019 compared to April 2018.
In May 2019, LTL shipments per workday increased 3.1% and LTL
tonnage per workday declined 2.5% compared to May 2018.
