Northwest Airlines Names William P. Lentsch Vice President of Station Operations EAGAN, Minn., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) today announced that it has named William P. Lentsch as its new vice president - station operations. Lentsch replaces Suzanne Boda, who became the airline's vice president-in-flight services earlier this month. Lentsch has been serving as chief operating officer for Bloomington, Minn.-headquartered Champion Air since November 2003. "We are pleased that Bill is rejoining Northwest in this critical customer service position. His 14 years of front-line technical operations experience at Northwest will be of great value as he oversees the customer service organization at 118 airports in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean," said Robert Isom, senior vice president-customer service. Prior to joining Champion Air, Lentsch was Northwest's vice president- engine and component maintenance operations. During his 14 years with Northwest, Lentsch has held a number of management positions with increasing responsibility including managing director-line maintenance operations and director - aircraft engineering. In addition to Northwest and Champion Air, Lentsch has worked for General Dynamics at Fort Worth, Texas and MTS Systems Corporation of Eden Prairie, Minn. He received a baccalaureate degree in aerospace engineering and mechanics from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology and a master of business administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.
