Sky-mobi Announces Partnership Agreement With Jiayuan
June 09 2011 - 9:00AM
Sky-mobi Limited (Nasdaq:MOBI) ("Sky-mobi" or the "Company"), a
leading mobile application store and mobile social network
community operator in China, today announced that it has entered
into a partnership agreement with Jiayuan.com International Ltd
("Jiayuan"), operator of the largest online dating platform in
China.
Under the terms of the one-year agreement, Sky-mobi will
collaborate with Jiayuan to develop a Sky-mobi-Jiayuan dating
software application to be operated on Sky-mobi's Maopao mobile
social network. The program will offer a wide range of dating and
social networking features. Over the course of the agreement, the
companies will also work together on promotions and user
development.
Mr. Michael Song, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Sky-mobi, stated, "This collaboration with Jiayuan builds upon our
open platform strategy as we continue to expand our network of
leading content partners. Dating services are in heavy demand by
our large mobile user group. We are pleased to work with Jiayuan to
meet this need as Jiayuan is the most successful and
heavily-visited dating site in China. Jiayuan's brand is well
recognized and offers some of the richest content in this area.
This agreement represents another step in extending the range of
applications available to our Maopao users as we believe this app
will prove to be the best of its kind on any platform. We expect
this partnership will not only provide us with a financial benefit,
but also more importantly enhance the user stickiness of our Maopao
platform."
Ms. Haiyan Gong, Chief Executive Officer of Jiayuan, stated, "We
are pleased to enter into this partnership with Sky-mobi. We
believe that mobile is an important growth area for Jiayuan. Our
goal is to enhance user experience by enabling our users to access
our online database anytime and anywhere via their mobile devices.
Sky-mobi is one of the largest mobile application stores in China
with hundreds of millions of mobile phone users, many of whom do
not have regular Internet access to our Jiayuan.com online dating
website. As such, we are excited to partner with Sky-mobi's Maopao
platform to offer China's singles more flexible and convenient
access to our trusted and effective online dating
platform."
