Annual awards ceremony honors customers whose deployments of Mobius technology drive value for their organizations RYE, N.Y., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBI), a leading provider of integrated solutions for enterprise archiving and records management, today announced the winners of the 2007 Mobius Customer Achievement Awards, presented at the seventeenth annual Mobius Users Group (MUG) conference in Los Angeles, California. Reinforcing the conference theme, "Celebrating the Silver -- Going for the Gold," award recipients were recognized in seven categories based upon demonstrated innovative, beneficial and strategic use of Mobius technology in their organizations. The winners were chosen from hundreds of Mobius implementations that drive revenue, improve customer service, enable regulatory compliance, and reduce the costs of doing business. "We were especially pleased to honor our customers this year as we commemorate Mobius's 25th anniversary," said Mauricio Barberi, senior vice president of marketing at Mobius. "From the outset, our goal has been to help companies deal with a rising tide of digital information that may be scattered across the globe in disparate repositories, on different platforms and in many different formats. This capability is now more important than ever for our customers as they grapple with the mounting costs and risks associated with legal and regulatory compliance, increasing customer demands for information availability, and the business imperative to proactively manage and leverage all electronic assets across the enterprise. This year's award winners have in common a keen understanding of the needs of their organizations and a strong commitment to realizing the potential of their investments in our products and our people." The following organizations were recognized with Mobius Customer Achievement Awards for 2007: One of the nation's leading diversified health care benefits companies was honored with the award for best customer service application. The company provides over 10 million members and 650,000 providers with instant online access to important medical care documents through two portals. On a daily basis, an average of 30,000 EOBs (explanations of benefits) are retrieved from ViewDirect and displayed in HTML format and more than 5,000 of them are printed or downloaded. Banco Santander, one of the ten largest banks in the world, winner of the award for best compliance application, needed an e-mail archiving system in Puerto Rico that met both SEC and NASD compliance requirements, as well as one that would be easy to install and easy to use. After a 30-day implementation of ViewDirect E-Mail Manager by Mobius agent Advanced Computer Technology, the bank has been archiving e-mails from over 2,500 mailbox users, providing internal compliance officers with audit controls, and reducing heavy manual tasks by automating reviews and detecting communications violations. BFS Diversified Products, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc., was honored for best strategic application. BFS uses ViewDirect to collect, store and access all documents associated with the bid process through completion of roofing jobs. As a manufacturer and distributor, BFS must keep all associated documents for reference during the 10-, 15-, and 20- year warranty periods and beyond. ViewDirect improves these business processes and provides instant access to all the documentation needed to support BFS vendors and clients. First Data Corporation, a leading provider of electronic commerce and payment solutions for businesses worldwide, was recognized for the best revenue-generating application for an e-statement solution delivered to its banking and financial services customers and prospects. In addition to delivering new revenue, First Data met customer demands for a more robust and functional solution by replacing CD-ROM statement delivery with Web access to the ViewDirect AFP statement archive. A leading wealth and asset management firm implemented Mobius's Audit and Balancing System (ABS) to automate reconciliation of trust accounts. With 6,000 accounts and 300 audit points per statement, the firm is deriving maximum value from ABS by managing high volumes of diverse documents while increasing the accuracy and speed of auditing. A process that used to take weeks is now completed in just days. The firm was given the award for most innovative use of technology. South Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company (SCFB), the largest domestic insurer in the state and the sixth largest property and casualty carrier, was honored for best cost-reducing application. By speeding information retrieval and eliminating network connectivity and transfer on the mainframe z/OS system, ViewDirect reduced the company's dependency on expensive mainframe storage systems and also reduced mainframe CPU cycles expended on search and retrieval. The State of Delaware, recognized for highest ROI, is saving $1.5 million a year and has seen an ROI of approximately 500% since deploying ViewDirect in 1999 for enterprise report management. The application supports 90% of the state's agencies and empowers 2,500 end users to quickly access important business documents from their desktops.
