Micronetics, Inc. (NASDAQ:NOIZ) announced today that the Ku-band
transceiver developed by its subsidiary, Microwave Concepts, has
been flight certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
for aircraft installation. The Ku-band transceiver has been
installed on multiple aircraft and is currently undergoing trials
with two commercial airlines. During the trials, the airlines will
be awaiting final Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
approval.
David Robbins, CEO of Micronetics, Inc. stated, We are pleased
with the achievement of this important milestone, given the
rigorous requirements for airborne use such as reliability,

conducted are in response to the growing demand by passengers for
commercial airlines to provide broadband in-flight entertainment
and communication (IFE&C) connectivity options.
Mr. Robbins continued, This equipment is an enabling portion of
the system that essentially brings a versatile broadband, worldwide
communication link into the aircraft. Additionally, the Ku-band
transceiver has other applications, including data links for fixed
and mobile satellite communications.
