Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

On July 15, 2021, Exicure, Inc. (the “Company”) will host a virtual R&D Day from 10:00 am to 11:00 am ET. The event will showcase Exicure’s neuroscience pipeline, including an update regarding its lead product candidate, XCUR-FXN, which is under development to address the underlying molecular cause of Friedreich’s Ataxia. A live webcast link will be accessible in the Events and Presentations section of the Company’s website on July 15, 2021 at 10:00 am ET, and an archived version of the presentation will be available following the event.
