The Thai baht eased against the US dollar after rising to 33.41 by 8:25 pm ET Thursday. The Thailand currency is now worth 33.44 against the greenback, with 33.55 seen as the next downside target level, if the latter drops further. At yesterday's close, the pair was quoted at 33.4350.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand will be closed on Friday in honor of the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day. It will re-open on Monday.
