ENVESTA APPOINTS FORMER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF CABLE AND WIRELESS, UK AND EUROPE AS
                             NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Envesta plc ("Envesta"), the alternative telephony provider, has appointed Mark
Heraghty to the Board as a non-executive director with effect from today.

Mr Heraghty has spent the last 11 years in the telecoms business, joining
Mercury Communications Ltd in 1992 initially as Marketing Manager for the
Business and Consumer Division. Here he increased retail sales of Mercurycards
by 40%, before becoming involved in the establishment of the first competitive
wholesale business unit in the UK with a primary focus on maximising the
commercial opportunities of the deregulating telecoms marketplace.

In 1998, Mr Heraghty was promoted to Managing Director of the wholesale division
of Cable & Wireless Communications plc, following its acquisition of Mercury
Communications, and in 2002 became Chief Executive, UK & Europe, of Cable &
Wireless Global, reporting directly to the CEO of Cable & Wireless Global.

Mr Heraghty has an MBA from Warwick University Business School.

Commenting on the appointment Lyndon Chapman, Chairman of Envesta, said: "We are
delighted to welcome someone of Mark's standing and extensive experience to the
Board of Envesta. His input will be invaluable as we concentrate on broadening
Envesta's telephony model, particularly in Europe."
