XANSA AND THE UK GOVERNMENT'S LEARNING AND SKILLS COUNCIL
SIGN REVISED CONTRACT
Xansa, the international business process and IT services company, has agreed a
revised contract with the UK Government's Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
For the next three years, Xansa will provide the LSC with IT systems
development, support and associated services.
This contract has a potential value of #38 million over three years and is
initially underpinned by a minimum commitment of #12 million to be delivered in
the first year.
Xansa has been working with the LSC since it was formed in March 2001. Xansa
will provide fully integrated services to design, build and support the systems
that integrate the processes and systems necessary to support both the LSC's
national and local offices.
The systems being installed by the LSC will allow it to transform the way it
does business with learning providers, allowing better information to be
exchanged electronically in line with the Modernising Government Agenda. Xansa
will continue to support the systems in accordance with improved service level
agreements designed to meet the needs of the national and local user community.
Xansa is a partner of a widening range of UK Government organisations, helping
to implement the Government's e-business and modernisation policies. As well as
the LSC, Xansa's Government clients include the Department of Work and Pensions'
award-winning Worktrain e-portal.
Alistair Cox, Chief Executive of Xansa, said:
"I am extremely pleased that the relationship between the LSC and Xansa
continues to develop following the award of the initial contract in 2001. This
is an excellent example of Xansa's commitment to long-term relationships with
our clients within which we strive to deliver maximum value for money and
increased value to the LSC's customers. We have a long and distinguished record
of working in Government and this is a good example of how we aim to extend and
improve that relationship."
Paul Frost, Assistant Director LSC Information Systems, said:
"I am pleased with the commitment and enthusiasm that colleagues in Xansa have
shown in the development and delivery of our systems. The continuity of
resources to us is important, as Xansa understands how our business is
developing and I am pleased that we have strengthened our relationship as this
new contract shows."
