fell 0.6% Tuesday to 133.48. The European index closed at 111.23,
0.5% lower. The emerging-markets and the Asian indices dropped 0.3%
and 0.5%, respectively, closing at 340.98 and 195.99. The index for

The ADRs for pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca PLC rose 0.7% to
$55.11. Earlier Tuesday, analysts at Berenberg said profitability
at the drug maker should improve as its sales drivers in the near
term require relatively little additional investment. Berenberg
rates the British company a buy and points to the company's strong
pipeline of drugs.
Chinese online-retailer JD.com Inc.'s ADRs fell 1.2% to $75.16.
The company's JD Health International Inc. unit filed to go public
in Hong Kong, a transaction that could raise at least $3 billion.
The company operates China's largest online retail pharmacy by
revenue and provides other health-related services. The offering
for JD Health could be launched by December, people familiar with
the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
