                       Preliminary Results Announcement


Wellington Holdings, the manufacturer of specialist polymer seals for
engineering and industrial applications, will announce its preliminary results
for the year ended 31 December 2000, on Monday 26 March 2001.

An analysts meeting to discuss the group's results and future outlook will be
held at 10.30 a.m. on 26th March at the offices of Binns & Co., 16 St. Helen's
Place, London EC3.

They will be the first full-year results of the 'New Wellington', which sold
off its rubber compounding interests in 1999 to concentrate solely on its
specialist polymer seals business.
