Press release

                            4 February 2005, Prague

Siemens, T-Systems and CESKY TELECOM amend their strategy in the electronic toll
project

The companies Siemens, T-Systems and CESKY TELECOM will submit their bids for
the construction and operation of a system for electronic toll collection in the
Czech Republic separately. According to the representatives of all three firms,
such a decision will also be of benefit for the project client, the state, which
will thus be able to choose from amongst several competing bids.

Siemens and T-Systems will continue to prefer the satellite solution and respect
the relevant directives and recommendations of the EU.

Siemens, T-Systems and CESKY TELECOM consider the implementation of the
electronic toll collection project in the Czech Republic to be very important
for the construction of a better-quality road system and a reduction in the
transit of goods traffic. It is the primary attempt of each of the three
companies to contribute using their know-how and abilities to the building of a
system, which will represents the most advantageous variant for the Czech
Republic both technologically and financially.

T-Systems and Toll Collect as suppliers and providers of the German toll
satellite system will bring its experience with this system to the bid for the
construction and operation of toll collection in the Czech Republic. Siemens
will use the experience from the project Hemlock in Seattle, America, where it
operates a system for electronic toll collection also based on satellite
navigation. The participation of CESKY TELECOM in the tender is not dependent on
the selected technological solution.
