                     Appointment of Chief Operating Officer


Further to its announcement at the time of publishing its interim results,
Phoenix IT Group plc ("Phoenix") is pleased to announce the appointment of
Jeremy Stafford as Chief Operating Officer.  He will take up his position and
join the Phoenix Board no later than 1 July 2007.

Jeremy Stafford, aged 44, joins Phoenix from British Telecommunications plc 
("BT") which he joined in 1991.  At BT he was latterly Managing Director, 
GovernmentBusiness, having previously been UK MD, BT Syntegra.  Prior to this 
Jeremy led anumber of IT services businesses within BT. Jeremy has a First 
Class degree in Management Sciences from Manchester University.

Nick Robinson, the Chief Executive of Phoenix IT Group plc, commented:

our senior operational management.  We are therefore delighted to welcome Jeremy

confident that Jeremy's experience and leadership will be instrumental in

There are no disclosures required pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.

Jeremy Stafford does not have any beneficial or non-beneficial interests in the
ordinary shares of Phoenix.
