    Langdons Foods Plc ("Langdons" or "the Company")
                            
         Result of Extraordinary General Meeting
                 and Holding in Company



At  the  Company's  Extraordinary  General  Meeting  held
earlier  today, all resolutions put to shareholders  were
duly passed.

Shareholders approval therefore has now been obtained  to
change  the  Company's name from Langdons  Foods  Plc  to
"Coburg Group Plc"with effect from 9 July 1999.

The  Company was informed on 7 July 1999 that as a result
of  the  sale  of  23,066,666 shares of 1p  each  in  the
Company   on   5  July  1999,  Plantation   and   General
Investments Plc no longer has an interest in the ordinary
share capital of Langdons Foods Plc.
