                      Total Voting Rights and Share Capital


In accordance with Rule 5.6.1 of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure
and Transparency Rules, the Company confirms that as at 29th February, 2008, 
its issued share capital consisted of 582,471,929 ordinary shares of 10p each 
with each share carrying the right to one vote.

There are no shares held in treasury.

The total number of voting rights in the Company is therefore 582,471,929.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the 
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their 
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the 
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
