behalf of Minorco Finance (U.K.) plc, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Minorco S.A., for Reunion Mining PLC.

POSTING OF OFFER DOCUMENT

Minorco Finance (U.K.) plc ("Minorco"), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Minorco S.A. announces that it has today (5th
May, 1999) posted the Offer Document in connection with its
recommended unconditional cash offer for Reunion Mining PLC
("Reunion") to Reunion shareholders.  Minorco and persons
acting in concert with Minorco now own Reunion shares
representing approximately 50.9 per cent. of the issued share
capital of Reunion.
