Posting of shareholder circular



Further to the announcement released on 5 December 2006, the Board of Luminar
plc ("the Company") announces that it is today posting a circular to its
shareholders (the "Circular") setting out details of the proposed disposal of
the Entertainment Division and Non-Core Units.



The Circular contains a notice convening an extraordinary general meeting of
shareholders at 11:00am on Monday, 8 January 2007 at which approval for the
proposed disposal will be sought.



The Circular will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing
Authority's Document Viewing Facility situated at: Financial Services Authority,
25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS, telephone 020 7066 1000.
