Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC (`the Company') received notification today under
the Transparency Directive from Cazenove Capital Management Limited (`Cazenove')
that it has an interest in 12,079,623 Zero Dividend Preference shares
representing 12.73% of that share class and 6.36% of the total voting rights of
the Company.

There are 94,905,683 Geared Growth shares and 94,905,683 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue.  On a poll each Geared Growth share carries one vote
and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote.  The Packaged Units
consist of one Geared Growth share and one Zero Dividend Preference share.
