Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC (the "Company") received notification today from
Jupiter Asset Management Limited that its discretionary clients have an interest
in 35,826,810 Geared Growth shares, 4,977,899 Zero Dividend Preference shares
and 30,000 Packaged Units in the Company, together representing 21.77% of the
voting rights in issue.

There are 93,859,265 Geared Growth shares and 93,859,265 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue. On a poll each Geared Growth share carries one vote
and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote. The Packaged Units
consist of one Geared Growth share and one Zero Dividend Preference share.
