   International Greetings Expects Strong Performance in the
                         Current Year
                  Good Progress at Copywrite

International Greetings PLC, the leading supplier of greetings
products to UK High Street retailers, told shareholders at
today's Annual General Meeting that it expects another strong
performance from the company during the current year.

John Elfed Jones, Chairman, said "Orders we have received from
our core customers for products for Christmas 1998 have met
our internal forecasts. Deliveries are now underway and are
confident in the outlook for the current year. We are also
pleased with the performance of our recent acquisitions. The
Cracker Company will, as expected, make a contribution this
year and we are making good progress at Copywrite which we are
confident will fulfill our expectations."
