International Greetings PLC (the "Company") announces that the
Company was today notified by John Elfed Jones, Non-Executive
Chairman, of a purchase of Ordinary Shares of 5p each ("Shares")
in the Company on 23 October 1997.  Mr Jones bought 5,000 Shares
at #4.02 per Share.

Following this announcement, the interest of Mr Jones in the
Shares of the Company is 5,000 Shares, representing 0.038% of
the issued Share capital of the Company.

Copies of this announcement will be available to the public at
the Company's offices at Belgrave House, The Merlin Centre,
Acrewood Way, St. Albans, Herts, AL4 0JY until 1 October.
