INTERNATIONAL GREETINGS PLC

International Greetings PLC (the "Company") announces that the
Company was yesterday notified by Anders Hedlund, Director, of a
sale of Ordinary Shares of 5p each ("Shares") in the Company on
10 September 1997.  Mr Hedlund sold 124,670 Shares at #3.55 per
Share, amounting to 0.945% of the Company's issued ordinary
Share capital.  The purpose of the sale was to satisfy market
demand.

Following this announcement, the interest of Mr A Hedlund and
his family in the Shares of the Company is 9,565,330 Shares,
representing 72.47% of the issued Share capital of the Company.

Copies of this announcement will be available to the public at
the Company's offices at Belgrave House, The Merlin Centre,
Acrewood Way, St. Albans, Herts, AL4 0JY until 1 October.
