LONDON - 12July2007- Central China Goldfields plc (AIM: GGG) reports an update
on the scout diamond drilling activities at the Tinggong exploration licence
area, Nimu Project, Tibet ("Nimu").

Highlights:

  * An additional seven scout diamond drill holes (TG06 to TG12) have been
drilled at the Tinggong exploration licence area. The results are
consistent with those announced on 29 May 2007.

  * Current scout drilling is focused on the Gangjiang Exploration Licence
where preliminary investigation has revealed better mineralisation than at
Tinggong (see 12 February 2007 news release). Four Gangjiang holes have
been completed. The drilling of a fifth Gangjiang hole is in progress.

  * Further work on the other anomalies in the Nimu Project is continuing.
Detailed mapping of the Bairong licence area has been completed. A
Geophysical survey using induced polarisation/resistivity and ground
magnetics methods will commence in early August. Detailed mapping of the
Xiaqing and Ronggangmeng licence areas will also commence in early August.

GEOLOGICALDETAILS:

Sampling and Analytical Details

Drill core samples (PQ, HQ, NQ core diametre sizes) were split in two by a
diamond saw cutting machine at the project site. The half split samples, each
weighing about 3-7 kilograms, were collected at an average interval of 2
metres. The samples were processed and analysed by Intertek Testing Service
Ltd. Sample preparation is done by Intertek-Kunming branch office, China.
Chemical analysis is done by Intertek-Beijing office. Copper, silver, lead and
zinc were analysed by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), gold by 30 grammes
fire assay with AAS finish and molybdenum, arsenic and antimony were analysed
by x-ray fluorescence (XRF). Routine international-standard QA/QC procedures
were used by Intertek. Two of the eight elements analysed are reported here:
copper (Cu) and molybdenum (Mo). The detection limits for Cu and Mo are 2 ppm
and 1 ppm, respectively.

Assay Results and Geological Interpretation

At 0.10% Cu cut-off, the assay results of holes TG06 to TG10 are outlined in
Table 1.
