Notification of Major Interest in Shares

Following the vesting of a total of 472,500 ordinary shares of 10p each in Eleco

plc to Participants in the Eleco plc Long Term Incentive Plan (the "Plan") and
the purchase of 242,972 shares, at a price of 20.5p per share, by the Plan's
Trustees, Eleco Nominees Limited, the shareholding of Eleco Nominees Limited has
fallen from 1,738,750 shares (representing 4.08% of Eleco plc's issued share
capital) to 1,509,222 shares (representing 3.54% of Eleco plc's issued share
capital).
