                                 Board changes

Cyan Holdings plc, the fabless semiconductor company specialising in the
development of low powered, configurable microcontroller chips, is pleased to
announce today the appointment of Kenn Lamb as Chief Executive Officer, with
effect from 11 April 2007. Paul Johnson becomes President and Chief Technical
Officer.

Kenn has seventeen years of executive management experience in high technology
companies. From 2001 to 2006, Kenn was CEO of Elixent where he completed a
successful sale of the business to Matsushita of Japan. Prior to Elixent Kenn
was Senior Vice President Sales at ARC International plc where he managed the
restructuring of its international sales team. After two years of sales growth,
ARC completed a successful London Stock Exchange flotation in September 2000
with a market capitalization of #500m. Before joining ARC, Kenn was Managing
Director of Actel Inc's European FPGA businesses where his team quadrupled sales
in two years.

Leading Cyan's recent strategic review in a consultative role gave Kenn a deep
understanding of the Company and its operations. In addition, Kenn has strong
expertise in microprocessors and configurable peripheral technology and has
built up considerable international experience in reorganisation and
implementing subsequent strategies.

Mike Hughes, Chairman of Cyan, said: "We are delighted with the appointment of
Kenn. His strategic vision, enhanced by his understanding of the semi-conductor
industry, will greatly benefit Cyan's future and take the Company to the next
stage of its development. Kenn is a very strong addition to the Board, and his

builds on the progress we have made in terms of our product range and customer
base, as well as developing internally as a company.

"The Board would also like to thank Paul for his important contribution whilst
CEO. He has been instrumental in developing the Company in its early stages and
is now pleased to be able to concentrate his world class technical skills to
further develop Cyan's product range."

Notes to Editors

Cyan Holdings plc is a fabless semiconductor company which specialises in the
design, sale and support of a range of 16-bit and 32-bit general-purpose low
power, high performance microcontroller chips ("MCUs"). These chips are
integral components used in nearly all electronic products, ranging from mobile
phones and washing machines to toys, televisions and motorcars. Consumer
entertainment markets require more powerful processors and are usually based on
32-bit chips which Cyan is developing to serve this market segment. Cyan
operates in a $14 billion worldwide market for microcontrollers, which is poised
to grow to $20 billion by 2010. Cyan has identified Europe and South East Asia
as the largest markets for its products, and as such aims to have 1% of the
microcontroller market within 5 years.

Originally Cyan was a spin out from Cambridge Consultants Limited to use its
16-bit core, the same core used in CSR's Bluetooth chips. Since Cyan was
founded in 2002, it has achieved 100 design wins for its initial eCOG1(R)k
product and is expanding the range of the patent-protected eCOG1(R) family and
introducing a new range of 32 bit microcontrollers.

Cyan has introduced design integration support software, CyanIDE(R), to support
the Company's entire range of current and future microcontrollers. The software
makes chip integration into customers' products vastly more simple, quick,
reliable and hence less expensive while dramatically reducing development time.
Cyan created CyanIDE(R) to avoid relying on standard tools from third party
suppliers.

The company is headquartered in Cambridge, UK and opened a sales and technical
support office in Hong Kong in May 2005 which services the Chinese market. Cyan
employs 40 people.
