                         ADJOURNMENT OF SCHEME MEETING

On 23 January 2008 Anzon Australia Limited ("Anzon Australia") (ASX: AZA) and
Nexus Energy Limited ("Nexus") (ASX: NXS) announced their intention to merge by
way of Scheme of Arrangement ("Merger").

On 4 March 2008, the Federal Court of Australia ordered the convening of a
meeting of shareholders of Anzon Australia ("Scheme Meeting") to enable a vote
to be taken on the proposed Merger. The Scheme Meeting will be held at 2.00pm
(AEST) on 18 April 2008 at Deacons, Level 18, Grosvenor Place, 225 George
Street, Sydney Australia.

During the period between the date of despatch of the Scheme Booklet and today's
date, Anzon Australia drilled the Basker-6 well, and is in the process of
drilling a sidetrack well (Basker 6 ST1). Anzon Australia provided an update to
the market earlier today in respect of the progress of the Basker 6 ST1 well.
Further information is expected to be received and evaluated early next week.

While Anzon Australia and Nexus continue to work together to assess the results
of the Basker 6 and Basker 6 ST1 drilling program, given the timing of receipt
of the drilling information from Basker 6 ST1, it has been decided to adjourn
the Anzon Australia Scheme meeting (which will be held at 2.00pm on 18 April
2008 for the purposes of adjournment) to a date to be advised.

Anzon Australia shareholders will be kept fully informed of any updates in
relation to the proposed merger with Nexus, including the details of when and
