LONDON--Water Company Pennon Group PLC (PNN.LN) said Friday Chairman Ken Harvey will retire on July 31 after 18 years in the role, and will be replaced by Anglo American PLC's (AAL.LN) John Parker.

Mr. Parker, who is currently chairman of Anglo American, will join the board on April 1 as independent non-executive director and as deputy chairman. He has chaired five FTSE 100 companies and has served as chief executive officer, chairman or non-executive director in more than 20 major U.K. and overseas companies.
