Narrowstep Inc. (OTC BB: NRWS), announced today that it has released the first commercialized internet video player integrating Microsoft Silverlight technologies with Atlas Ad Server solutions. Narrowsteps new Player 2.7 offers the benefit of video play-out on various operating systems and browsers including current versions of Mac, Safari and Firefox, and is the first of its kind to integrate a multi-functional, industry standard tool for delivering ads across-platform as well. Additionally, Narrowsteps Player 2.7 will provide improved functionality to the end-user and increased back-end support for Narrowsteps channel owners. We are excited to deploy Player 2.7, stated Michal Stanislawek, Chief Software Architect for Narrowstep, this release not only gives a rich cross-browser experience but further helps our customers to monetize content with the first integration of Silverlight and Atlas. Narrowsteps new player also offers enhanced scheduling, flexible player client-side APIs, and improved community tools such as comments, ratings, etc. Several Narrowstep channels have already migrated to the 2.7 player including Torque.TV, a broadband TV Network for car, truck & motorcycle enthusiast launched by one of the founders of Fox Networks SPEED channel; Outdoor Channel, Americas leader in Outdoor TV; and MTBcut, a channel dedicated to mountain bike enthusiasts. Several others will be launching within the coming weeks. Narrowstep is continuing to make major platform improvements to further support their business strategy of providing customized video solutions to large, enterprise customers who require sophisticated tools and functionality. Before deploying our 2.7 player, we made a series of advancements within our existing system architecture which makes it easier to deliver even more cutting-edge features, added Mr. Stanislawek. Larger broadcasters and content owners require an internet video solution that is matched with an enterprise class advertising platform. This is the reason Narrowstep developed the first integration of Atlas and Silverlight, which will be showcased on April 17th, 2008 at Microsofts booth at NAB. The integration with Atlas will enable our customers to utilize a sophisticated advertising platform to leverage 3rd party ad-networks in addition to using in-house advertising efforts to deliver both banner and video advertisements, stated Anthony Yi, Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales/Business Development for Narrowstep. This Player upgrade is just one example of how Narrowstep will continue to integrate the best tools to help our customers develop profitable on-line video models which is a rarity outside of our customer base. Added Mr. Yi, With this release, Narrowstep is well positioned to continue to lead the industry and provide the best platform for delivering long-form, professionally produced, video content in a TV-like environment with an emphasis on quality and monetization. For more information please visit http://www.narrowstep.com.
