CORONA, Calif., May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC
Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a technology leader in
developing automated retailing systems, customized kiosks and
micro-stores, announced that they have awarded an exclusive
distributorship of the innovative Marley Coffee Automated Stores in
the San Diego area. The deal is
worth over $2.5 million in new
revenues for AVT, Inc.
The territory has been awarded to Jon
Gerber, a Southern
California businessman with over 20 years of experience in
growing companies, and an extensive background in the software and
telecommunications industries.
Mr. Gerber has an impressive track record of launching and
expanding new products to the marketplace, and has over 15-years of
experience with start-ups in the Silicon Valley.
"We are pleased to partner with Jon
Gerber, a proven business leader that is well qualified to
introduce the Marley Automated Stores to San Diego," said Shannon Illingworth, Chairman and Founder of
AVT, Inc. "Jon understands the opportunity these systems offer, and
will be able to grow the business quickly and correctly."
"I look forward to launching Marley Automated Stores in this
fabulous market," Gerber stated. "San
Diego is a city that loves gourmet coffee, and with the AVT
designed systems, people can have a world-class cup, freshly
brewed, and be on the go in a matter of moments," he added. "I have
no doubt that once people try the Marley Automated Store, they will
make it a part of their daily routine."
AVT recently introduced the second-generation Marley Coffee
Automated Stores, which now feature large screen interactivity and
media. The systems are the world's first touch-screen automated
cafés that can deliver a freshly ground and brewed cup of gourmet
Marley coffee, espresso or cappuccino, in less than a minute. Some
of the Marley Automated Stores also will feature Marley
accessories, cups, and both ground and whole bean coffee for sale
in a variety of blends.
"Marley Coffee is a powerful brand that is one of the best known
in the world," Illingworth stated. "We were able to harness the
power of that brand and move it into our automated retailing
platforms, to open up the product to a whole new market sector," he
added.
The Marley Automated Stores are typically generating about
$1500 - $2000 a month in sales, and
providing a return on investment (ROI) in less than one year.
This contract states that AVT will manufacture 300
machines for the San Diego
distributor, in a deal worth about $2.5
million. Marley Coffee, the company that supplies the
products for the systems, is forecasting about $1 million a year in new sales for their parent
company – Jammin Java.
