Ken Smith appointed as EESTech Africa’s CEO / Director.

In consideration of his contribution as a
founding Director of
EESTech Africa (Pty) Ltd and for achieving initial objectives,
EESTech has
appointed Mr Ken Smith as CEO and assigned him a 24% equity
position in EESTech
Africa. Ken recognizes the merits of EESTech’s products and
services and
has committed his full support to the company.
Mr.
Smith has over 27 years experience as an environmental scientist in
the coal-mining and resource sector. As a
highly credentialed member of the International Association for
Impact
Assessment and Public Participation and the Institute of Mining and
Metallurgy,
he has significant experience in developing mining projects where
the interests
and regulatory processes of government, local communities and
private industry
need to be diligently managed to achieve successful and
sustainable
outcomes.
He has worked in the fields of agriculture,
forestry and at the coal-face in the mining industry ranging from
research and
development through to hands-on production. Over the past 27 years,
Ken has
focussed on the associated challenges of environmentally
responsible
developments.
Ken has worked for a range of companies, including
Anglo American Coal Corporation and BHP Billiton as well as
managing the
Working Water Project in SE Mpumalanga. Since 1996, he has been a
Founding
Director of five companies, and is a Member of the International
Associations
for Impact Assessment and Public Participation (International and
Southern
Africa), and the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
EESTech Africa welcomes Ken to the EESTech team
and looks forward to working with him. EESTech plans to introduce
its products
and services throughout continental Africa and believes Ken’s
contribution to
this objective will help to assure a successful future for EESTech
within the
African market place.
