CSI Chief Executive Officer Steve Powless Earns 2014 Distinguished Alumnus Award from Murray State University

Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of

its chief executive officer, Steve Powless, has been named as one
of the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus recipients by the Murray State
University Alumni Association.
Established in 1962, the Distinguished Alumnus Award is the
highest award granted at Murray State, honoring alumni who have
fully dedicated themselves to their profession and have helped
enhance the lives of others. Powless, who earned his bachelor’s
degree in Business from Murray State in 1977, will be recognized
along with three other award recipients at an honorary dinner on
April 11.
After joining CSI in 1987, Powless became the company’s
second-ever CEO in 1999 and continues serving in that role today.
During his time with CSI, Powless has led the organization’s
expansion from a regional core banking processor to a nationally
recognized technology solutions provider. The company now delivers
a full suite of solutions, including cloud-based managed services,
mobile and Internet technology and regulatory compliance solutions.
Today, CSI boasts more than 5,000 customers from across the nation
and is supported by a staff of more than 1,100 talented employees,
including 70 graduates from Murray State University.

Outside of his ongoing work with CSI, Powless continues to
actively support Murray State by serving on its Telecommunication
System Management (TSM) National Advisory Board. He also has
previously served the university as a board member for the Western
Region Center for Emerging Technology. In addition, CSI funds two
annual scholarships to Murray State TSM students and previously
made a $100,000 corporate donation to the university’s Paducah
campus.
