Source Says ECB Wants Deutsche Bank to Raise Funds Before Commerzbank Merger -Reuters

--The European Central Bank wants to see Germany's Deutsche Bank
AG (DB) raise funds before it will approve a tie-up with
Commerzbank AG, Reuters reported Thursday, citing "a person with
direct knowledge of the matter."
--The ECB hopes to have Deutsche Bank create a cash buffer to
deal with any setbacks during the merger process, the report
said.
--Deutsche Bank has said it likely will need very little if any
capital if the merger goes forward, the report.
